Our fireplace range makes use of new technology that ensures high efficiency, huge heat storage capacity and a lower level of emissions than ever before. Warma-Uunit fireplaces are guaranteed to radiate soft heat evenly over an extensive period.
The environment is extremely important to us, which is why we go to great lengths to make sure that our products are environmentally friendly. W1400+ Energy concrete, the material used to construct our fireplace bodies, is a Finnish natural product made primarily from recycled materials taken from the steel industry.
At Warma-Uunit, we use only tried and tested high-quality materials with properties that meet the applicable requirements, however strict those may be. And since we ask a lot of ourselves, we also hold our partners’ operations to a high standard.
Our fireplace bodies are constructed of a specially made, fully fireproof material, which does not expand when heated. Studies have shown the material to be capable of withstanding frequent high temperatures (1700°C melting point), and its specific weight is 3,000 kg/cubic metre.
The properties of the material ensure high heat conductivity and excellent heat storage capacity. Thanks to our proprietary casting technique, the material is extremely dense, which further enhances the above-mentioned qualities.

“Puupihi” combustion technology increases burning efficiency and reduces emissions
Puupihi is a next-generation combustion technology developed and patented by Warma-Uunit. The solution minimizes the amount of wood or pellets required for heating. Puupihi fireplaces consume up to 50% less wood than their traditional counterparts, thus reducing emissions.
Every heat-storing Warma-Uunit fireplace features Puupihi combustion technology. When equipped with a pellet burner, some of these fireplaces can be used to burn pellet in addition to wood. Both materials burn with a clean and efficient gas flame.
The structure of Puupihi fireplaces enables double combustion. The heat-reflecting material of the fireplace raises the burning temperature and increases the gasification of the wood. The finely-tuned air supply system guides air to the upper section of the firebox, igniting the hot combustion gases generated by the wood. This makes it possible to use the energy released by the wood efficiently. All Puupihi fireplaces have a high efficiency ratio of up to 92%.
Puupihi fireplaces benefit from natural air circulation in both wood and pellet setups. Thanks to this feature, the fireplaces are just as energy efficient and clean when no electricity is available.
Easy to use
Puupihi fireplaces are easy to use, as they are very similar to traditional fireplaces in terms of their functionality. Place wood or pellet in the fireplace, open the required dampers, light the fire and close the door – quite simple, really!
The difference from traditional fireplaces lies in the supply of combustion air: normally, a heat-storing fireplace only takes air in through the grate. A Puupihi fireplace can also be used in the traditional way, but when secondary air is supplied through the back wall of the fireplace, the same amount of wood will provide significantly more heating power. In Puupihi fireplaces, combustion air is controlled with dampers, just like in traditional fireplaces.
